Africa is far to incredibly rich in musical history to know it fully in ones lifetime so here we give you a taste. This radio show introduces you to tracks straight from Africa that can be compared to the sounds of Afro-Latino music.</p>
<p>From genres like Son (that were developed in Cuba) to Highlife and Soukouss that became Champeta in Cartagena, Colombia, Latinos have been influenced and moved by popular African music.  Renzo has found many harmonies from African songs that induce Latin music and similar chants from Nigeria that are found in Gagá (music from Haiti). The guitar and the piano were brought to the Americas from the Spain but many African musicians have mastered these instruments as well, forever changing the way Latin music is played. </p>
